How can we optimize wine growing practices for the challenges of tomorrow?

Vineyard Growth Tracking

The DeVines technology continuously gathers qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources and sensors. It tracks a variety of KPIs such as the number of grapes per plant, the grapes’ and plants’ growth, the leaf density, and missing plants. Thanks to DeVines, you will be able to accurately monitor the evolution of your vineyard on a daily basis in order to manage it smartly and with ease.

Management of anomalies

Through its smartphone application, DeVines provides a digital interface for real-time communication between managers, employees, and contractors across the vineyard. The application allows users to manually record the geolocation of any anomalies they observe. The flagged anomalies are then pictured, timestamped, and geotagged so that managers can visualize them in a matter of seconds.

Management of vineyard activity

DeVines, through its smartphone application, provides an interface for real-time communication between members active in the vineyard (managers, employees and contractors). The smartphone application allows precise geolocation of anomalies (diseases, broken trees, water leaks…). All reported anomalies are illustrated, time-stamped, positioned and can be viewed in real time by the manager and other members of the company.

Economic Challenges
At present, the maturity of grapes on entire vineyards is assessed on the basis of small random samples. In reality, significant disparity in the veraison of grapes can be observed from one vineyard row to another, which makes today’s methods highly inaccurate in many cases.
Environmental Challenges
Global warming has had a profound impact on wine growing and will continue to do so moving forward. Water shortages, new diseases, and unfavorable temperatures are some of the issues that emerge from climate change, and ultimately, this puts the health and quality of your grapes at risk.
Managerial Challenges
The human eye can be highly effective when it comes to detecting anomalies in vineyards, but recording, locating, and addressing them remains one of the biggest challenges for wine growers to this day.

” The eHermes sensor is intended to replace our eyes in a more vigorous and accurate way with the huge advantage of mapping. “
